Concentrating Sensitive Products

Unlike effluent treatment where the goal is simply water removal, product concentration requires preserving the active ingredients, flavour profiles, colours, and nutritional value of the feed.

High temperatures or long holding times can destroy these properties. Rototech designs systems that operate under high vacuum (lowering the boiling point) and utilise thin-film technologies to ensure the product is exposed to heat for only seconds.

Falling Film Evaporators

The gold standard for dairy and juice. Liquid flows downward as a thin film inside heated tubes, vaporising rapidly. Highly energy efficient with MVR integration.

Agitated Thin Film Evaporators (ATFE)

For highly viscous products (extracts, syrups, pastes). Mechanical wiper blades spread the product into a highly turbulent thin film against a heated jacket.

Spray Drying

When the final product must be a powder (e.g., milk powder, coffee, herbal extracts), the concentrated liquid is atomised into hot air for instantaneous drying.
